The “Mirbat gun”, an artillery piece used at the Battle Of Mirbat in Oman in which a handful of SAS men and a relatively small local force defended the city against a far superior force.
The gun was manned by a single British soldier, Sergeant Talaisi Labalaba, and was credited as having been a key factor in holding off the enemy until air support arrived.
